Chefs and chefs in training are needed to create spaghetti casseroles to be served at Our Daily Bread.
Our Daily Bread Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
1 LB Spaghetti
2 LBS Ground Beef
4 LBS (64 oz.) Spaghetti Sauce
Parmesan Cheese
1. Brown ground beef and drain grease. Add sauce and simmer.
2. Cook spaghetti noodles, drain, rinse in cold water, drain again.
3. Put some sauce in the bottom of the casserole pan. Add layers of sauce and layers of spaghetti
4. Top with remaining sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Allow to cool.
Cover casserole pan with aluminum foil. (Please do *not* put plastic wrap under the foil.) Mark top of casserole with “CCRelay-Spaghetti Casserole” with a black indelible marker. Freeze and deliver to the freezer in the church basement.
Casseroles are due in the freezer before the 4th Friday of each month, but they can be put there any time during the month.
*Note: 4 LBS of sauce may seem like too much, but the casseroles are heated in high-temperature ovens at Our Daily Bread and they become dry. Thank you!
